The little nest egg that turned into a pot of gold

I'm not a financial advisor.

I'm not a certified accountant.

I'm not a clairvoyant.

I'm just a middle aged woman who wants to help you to spend less so you are less worried about money.

I'm not going to endorse any financial strategy or advise you to buy crypto or blue chip stock or government bonds or a national lottery ticket.

I'm not asking for anything in return, other than if what I write about makes sense to you, for you to try it out and see for yourself if the changes you make help you.

I'll tell you about how I live and some of the things I've done to now be able to live in financial comfort.

I'll suggest reading other information websites to help you, I'll tell you about what I've done, or what I'd do, but just because I did it or do it, doesn't mean it's right for you. As an independent human being, you need to make your own decision about everything you do, question the motivation behind the advice you read about.  Does it make logical sense to you? Could it improve your situation? What are the downsides? Once you've considered the options, decide what you want to do.

I once sold something on eBay that after fees and postage made me 17p. Yes, a whole whopping 17p. But do you know what? Selling it to someone else still meant that item got more use and stayed out the landfill for a bit longer. And I got 17p.

What's the point of selling something for 17p profit? Well, it's 17p more than I had before I sold it. It can be spent on something else or saved. I don't want the government to give me money, or family to lend me cash or to have to borrow at Christmas. Put a bit of effort into making your little nest egg and eventually you will have a pot of gold behind you.
